We operate by collecting donations from scholastic materials to basic necessities and distributing them to families in need. We also invest in long-term solutions like establishing low-cost, sustainable businesses to ensure lasting impact.

To combat illiteracy and poverty, we provide children in rural areas with the tools they need to succeed in school. Our support includes distributing scholastic materials, such as books on basic Maths, English, and life skills like hygiene. We also offer essentials like sanitary supplies, clothing, and shoes to ensure girls remain in school.
The Orphan Support Fund by Tumwenye provides financial aid to orphans in rural Uganda, helping them pursue their education and regain hope for the future. This initiative covers school fees, scholastic materials, and emotional support to combat issues like depression, isolation, and anxiety. By investing in the lives of vulnerable children, we aim to restore their dreams, fight child labour, and give them the resources they need to succeed. Impact: Supporting at least 20 orphans with essential resources per year .
We fight hunger by delivering food to children, girls, and widows who struggle to meet their daily nutritional needs. Many young mothers in rural Uganda, having children at an early age, lack the means to provide for their families. Tumwenye steps in to offer crucial food supplies, ensuring these families survive.
Tumwenye's Sanitation and Latrine Construction Project focuses on improving hygiene and preventing disease in rural Uganda by building durable, clean latrines. This initiative aims to reduce the spread of waterborne illnesses like cholera and typhoid, improve school attendance for girls by providing proper sanitation facilities, and restore dignity and safety to communities. By ensuring access to safe toilets, we promote better health, privacy, and overall well-being for families in underserved areas.
Volunteers read to a child who may not otherwise have the opportunity. It is said that reading aloud to children has been proven to stimulate language and cognitive skills, expand vocabulary and give at-risk children a “head start.”
